The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne is developing a Mohawk language strategic plan for the organization and is currently conducting a survey to gather information for the plan. By taking just a few minutes to answer questions about language and your personal language use, you will be entered in a draw to win a 1-year membership to Heart to Heart Fitness Centre!
The Mohawk language strategic plan will consider all aspects of MCA’s operations as it pertains to the revitalization, preservation, promotion and protection of the Mohawk language. The plan is to include a clear vision and mission, as well as defined goals, objectives and priorities that are realistic, achievable and measurable. The Mohawk language strategic plan is intended to recognize the uniqueness of Akwesasne and coordinate language training efforts in a collaborative and cohesive manner with key providers such as the Ahkwesahsne Mohawk Board of Education, Akwesasne Economic Development Agency, Akwesasne Freedom School and Iohahi:io.
The survey will provide information on the current use of language in Akwesasne. Your responses will remain confidential.
