Please be advised that the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne Department of Health considers the safety of the Tsiionkwanonhso:te residents, employees and community members’ one of our highest priorities. Effective immediately, visitor restrictions to Tsiionkwanonhso:te have been lifted.

However, when visiting our Long Term Care facilities, it is important to remember:

• Do not visit if you are experiencing nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.

• Do not visit if you have a fever, cough, or other possibly contagious infections.

• Clean your hands with alcohol-based hand rub:

-When you arrive and before leaving,

-After any contact with residents/patients,

-After coughing and sneezing,

-Before and after assisting resident with feeding,

-Before and after assisting resident with toileting.

• Follow all posted guidelines to protect yourself and others.
