SMART METER INFORMATIONAL MEETING

Please be advised that the Mohawk Council of Akwesasne Smart Meter Informational Meeting will be taking place on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 between 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the Tsi Snaihne Recreation Centre. This is in regards to the Smart Meter implementation that will be taking place in the districts of Quebec, which include Kana:takon and Tsi Snaihne.

A smart meter is an electronic device that records consumption of electric energy in intervals of an hour or less and communicates that information at least daily back to the utility for monitoring and billing. Smart meters enable two-way communication between the meter and the central system.
