Niawen:kowa

"Feeling Loved" to see "Konoronhkwa Sheila" written on a beam by ironworkers outside my hospital window at NYC Langone Medical Center.

To my FAMILY and FRIENDS,

I just wanted to let my family know how much I appreciated your support while I was in the hospital. It meant so much to me that each of you took the time to stay by my side. A special niawen:kowa to everyone that prayed for me while I was sick and in the NYC Langone Medical Center Hospital.  I truly felt your prayers. I also wanted to remember Saint Kateri Tekakwitha during my time of need.

A special thank you to the Ironworkers of Local 40 who worked across from my hospital window in New York City and posted "Konoronhkwa Sheila" on the steel beam for me to see! They are, Dale Herne from Akwesasne, Tony Malino, Danny Vega, Justine Ida from Ft Covington, Brandon Baversfield from Kahnawake, Trevon Cuffy, Jerome Moley, Kevin Connelly, Joe Turck, Robby Amano, and John Hammermin. Often times they would wave to me and do a little dance each day.

Thank you all for the prayers while I was sick in the hospital. Knowing of your prayers really helped encourage me during the difficult times and gave me peace in my heart that I was going to recover just fine.  It hasn't been easy dealing with things lately, but knowing I have family and friends like you definitely helps.

Thank you again for your thoughtfulness and your friendship. I will never forget this!

Warm Regards,

Sheila Ransom
