SEAWAY INTERNATIONAL BRIDGE CORPORATION DEMOLITION WILL REQUIRE TEMPORARY TOLL BOOTH PLAZA

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne (MCA) would like to inform the community that due to demolition work from the Seaway International Bridge Corporation (SIBC) on the old North Channel Bridge connecting Kawehno:ke (Cornwall Island) to Cornwall, traffic will be required to be re-routed through temporary toll booth detour lanes beginning Monday, December 14, 2015 at the 8:30 a.m. shift change. The work is expected to take 3-4 weeks for completion; therefore, the temporary toll booth detour lanes are expected to be in use until mid-January.

The detour is required to facilitate work being conducted overhead and to ensure the safety of the traveling public and SIBC employees.
