Sweetflag Estate located in Rooseveltown, NY is seeking an organized person with excellent communication skills and knowledge and experience in carpentry, plumbing, electricity.
There is no salary. In exchange for services rendered, recipient resides on-site in a 2-bedroom apartment at Sweetflag rent free including utilities and basic phone service.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Lock and Unlock exit entrance doors daily
- Custodial duties for facility management
- Oversee the trash/recycle management system
- Follow emergency procedures, alarm system, and proper generator maintenance and operation
- Responsible for move-in and move-out inspections, complete work order for maintenance & repairs, clean out vacant units and make ready for occupancy
- Grounds upkeep, paved surfaces, lawns, flowers, garden, annuals and perennials
- Assist with Recreation Program
- Assist with Transportation Program
- Oversee decorating and facility functions
- Monitor and backup security system
- Follow Preventative Maintenance and keep daily log of all work performed
- Annual contract for services
- Work closely with Mohawk Indian Housing Corporation Maintenance and Housing Departments.
