Unlawful fleeing of a police officer: On March 31, St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Police arrested Kacey Edwards, 27, of Hogansburg and also charged her with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, failure to obey police officer, insufficient tail lamps, unsafe turn, driving with alcohol in the motor vehicle, fail to stop at stop sign, failure to obey traffic device and fail to use designated lane. Edwards was arraigned in court and remanded to Franklin County Jail, Malone in lieu of $500 bail or $1,000 bond. Edwards is to return to Bombay Town Court on April 14.

Inadequate Headlight: On March 28, Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police ticketed Brett M. Barkley, age not available, of Norwood. Ticket is returnable to Tribal Court on April 20.

Expired inspection: On March 31, Tribal Police ticketed Dorothy A. Smoke, 37, of Hogansburg. Ticket is returnable to Bombay Town Court on April 21.

Unregistered motor vehicle: On March 31, Tribal Police ticketed Kellie A. Taverna, 45, of Malone, also citing her for expired inspection. Tickets are returnable to Bombay Town Court on April 21. On March 31, Tribal Police ticketed Wendell D. Benedict, 49, of Akwesasne, Ontario. Ticket is returnable to Tribal Court on May 4.

Aggravated unlicensed operation: On March 31, Tribal Police ticketed Danielle J. Johnson, 24, of Akwesasne, Quebec. Tickets are returnable to Bombay Town Court on April 21.

Driving while intoxicated: On April 1, Tribal Police charged Tyler K. Oakes, 20, of Akwesasne, Quebec, also citing unlawful possession of marihuana and unsafe backing. Tickets are returnable to Bombay Town Court on April 21. On April 2, Tribal Police charged Lisa M. Mitchell, 34, of Akwesasne, Ontario, also citing her for speeding. Tickets are returnable to Bombay Town Court on April 28.

Speeding: On April 2, Tribal Police ticketed Sherri L. Finch, 40, of Finch, Ontario. Ticket is returnable to Tribal Court on April 13. On March 31, Tribal Police ticketed Thomas J. Darling, 23, of Oswego. Ticket is returnable to Tribal Court on April 20. On March 28, Tribal Police ticketed Amy L. Benedict, 24, of Akwesasne, Ontario. Ticket is returnable to Tribal Court on April 27. On March 28, Tribal Police ticketed Larry A. Dillabough, 22, of Brushton. Ticket is returnable to Tribal Court on April 13. On March 28, Tribal Police ticketed Todd J. Cook, 34, of Snye, Quebec. Ticket is returnable to Tribal Court on April 27. On March 28, Tribal Police ticketed Kay M. Tompkins, 67, of Constable. Ticket is returnable to Tribal Court on April 20. On March 28, Tribal Police ticketed Ronald L. Real, 61, of Grand Isle, Vt. Ticket is returnable to Tribal Court on April 27. On March 27, Tribal Police ticketed Darwin G. Arquette, 29, of Hogansburg. Ticket is returnable to Tribal Court on April 27. On March 27, Tribal Police ticketed Elizabeth M. Sawatis, 24, of Hogansburg. Ticket is returnable to Tribal Court on April 27.

HOMICIDE UPDATE

Cornwall, ON- On Monday, April 6th, 2015, shortly after 9:00 am, the Cornwall Community Police Service was called to a residence on Carleton Street and located a 52-year-old woman with no vital signs. An investigation revealed that Jacqueline Martin had been stabbed, and as a result, her 28-year-old son Jonathan Michaud was arrested on April 6th, 2015 and charged with first degree murder. He appeared in court on April 7th, 2015 for a bail hearing.

Police are asking if anyone has any information about this incident to contact D/Cst. Day of the Cornwall Investigation Division at 933-5000 ext. 2738.
