AKWESASNE WOMAN WINS PONTOON

(AKWESASNE, NY, July 29, 2014) – Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort (AMCR) concluded its Float Away Giveaway featuring a 2014 Sun Tracker pontoon on Saturday July 26, 2014 and the lucky winner was Beatrice King from Akwesasne, NY.

The 2014 Sun Tracker pontoon was provided by Day Brothers Boats of Plattsburgh, NY and retails at $18,000. Jason Perry, dealership representative, was present for the giveaway and added "We have the largest boat selection in the area and had a great time working with the Casino on this promotion."

The Float Away Giveaway kicked off on Tuesday, July 1st and the grand prize drawing was held on Saturday July 26th. Guests earned entries into the Grand Prize drawing all month long, and each Sunday a drawing was held to select a contestant to advance to the final grand prize round.

The grand prize drawing drew lots of excitement as each final contestant used a fishing pole to "fish" out a miniature buoy to reveal their prize. Three out of the ten miniature buoys contained a picture of the $18,000 pontoon. Those three winners then advanced to the final round and each selected another package to reveal who was the grand prize winner.

Beatrice King was the last of the top three finalists to select a package, and as luck would have it she walked away the proud new owner of a 2014 Sun Tracker pontoon boat! When King was asked if she would be taking the cash option or the boat, she did not hesitate as she responded "the boat!" King explained that just two weeks prior she was boat shopping in Plattsburgh, NY but decided to wait until after the Casino drawing to purchase a boat. Waiting it out definitely paid off for Beatrice who felt like winning the boat was meant to be.
