HOUSING SERVICES ADVOCATE

Akwesasne Housing Authority Housing Services Department  * Full-Time Position * (Non-exempt/hourly – Salary based on experience)

 


Position Summary

 As a team member, performs all duties pertaining to the admissions and occupancy requirements of all housing assistance programs operated by the Akwesasne Housing Authority.  Coordinates and implements project specific training modules and community initiatives for the AHA, including but not limited to financial education, homebuyer education, housing loan programs, and other specialized programs for the benefit of low income housing participants. 

 QUALIFICATIONS

 ·Two-year Business/Economics Degree or two years related experience in the residential housing field.

·Must be self-motivated and have excellent time management skills.

·Must have strong oral and written communication skills.

·Must be well organized, detail oriented and capable of multi tasking.

·Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, to include participating in consensus decision making and committing to the group decision.

·Must have excellent computer skills.

·Financial background preferred.

·Successful completion of mandatory drug screening.
