CONGREGATE DINING ATTENDANT

Salary Level: GST 13 $32,964.28 – $34,282.85

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision of the Food Service Supervisor and the day to day supervision of the Cook, the incumbent is responsible to serve meals to residents, visitors and families attending congregate dining events. The incumbent maintains a high standard of quality in the preparation and delivery of meal services while maintaining attention to sanitation protocols. The Congregate Dining Attendant is a team player and promotes the services of the Dietary Department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of experience in the healthcare industry preferably in an institutional setting.

Incumbent must possess a current Standard First Aid with CPR, Level C certificate. Incumbent must have and maintain certification for WHMIS, HACCP, and Food Safety/Food Handling. Incumbent must have knowledge of methods and procedures for serving food, principles of sanitation, and principles of safe food handling.
