Christopher A. Belile, 25, of Hogansburg was arrested by St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Police and charged with second-degree strangulation, second-degree menacing and endangering the welfare of a child at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12. He was arraigned in Bombay Town Court and remanded to the Franklin County Jail, Malone in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond.

April M. Burns, 27, of Hogansburg was arrested by Tribal Police and charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or more and driving while intoxicated at 12:41 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12. Police allege Burns blood alcohol content was .13 percent. During the investigation, police learned she was wanted by the U.S. Marshal Service. She was taken to the Franklin County Jail, Malone and was turned over to federal authorities. Burns is to re-appear on December 17 to face the state charges.

Jolene W. Jackson, 39, of Akwesasne, Que. was arrested by Tribal Police and charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and following too closely at 3:56 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11. The charges followed a property damage accident on state Route 37. She is to appear in Bombay Town Court on January 7.

Kenneth R. Thomas, 32, of Hogansburg was ticketed by Tribal Police for inadequate headlights at 9:31 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10 on state Route 37. He is to appear in Tribal Court on December 30.

Mallory J.A. Cree, 30, of Hogansburg was ticketed by Tribal Police for speeding at 10:57 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10. Police said she was going 53 M.P.H. in a 35 M.P.H. zone on state Route 37. She is to appear in Tribal Court on January 13.

Deacon M. Hall, 29, of Hogansburg was ticketed by Tribal Police for speeding and inadequate headlights at 10:25 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10. Police said he was going 49 M.P.H. in a 35 M.P.H. zone on state Route 37. He is to appear in Tribal Court on January 13.

Tricia L. Helm, 38, of Moira was ticketed by Tribal Police for speeding at 10:12 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10. Police said she was going 51 M.P.H. in a 35 M.P.H. zone on state Route 37. She is to appear in Tribal Court on January 13.

Evita A. Stacy, 29, of Akwesasne, N.Y. was arrested by New York State Police and charged with petit larceny and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 5:02 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at an address on U.S. Route 11 in Malone.
