The Akwesasne Housing Authority is requesting Proposals until August 13, 2013, for the installation, finish, and priming of all interior gypsum wallboard for six (6) residential homes, 1,200+/- sq.ft., currently under construction. All properties are situated within the bounds of the Saint Regis Mohawk Indian Reservation. All work must conform to the New York State Building Code and labor rates in accordance with the St. Regis Mohawk Wage Scale, TRC#2013-31.

Interested bidder shall provide all details in the proposal submitted and price per unit to complete work. A Scope of Work (SOW) and house plans for each unit are provided.

Indian Preference Requirements: The AHA shall to the greatest extent feasible provide preference to Indian-owned economic enterprises and Indian organizations, as part of the AHA’s Procurement Policy and HUD Regulations 24 CFR Part 1000. Note: This RFP is non-restricted.

Pre-Bid Meeting: All interested parties are encouraged to attend the Pre-Bid Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 10am in the Development Department meeting room, located on the lower level of the AHA Administration Building. Attendance is recommended.

The Akwesasne Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. If a single proposal is received, the Akwesasne Housing Authority reserves the right to negotiate and ask for cost data. Interested parties may submit proposals to the Akwesasne Housing Authority, Attention: Lorraine Thomas, Procurement/Assets Manager, 378 State Route 37, Hogansburg, New York 13655. All proposals must be marked “RFP Gypsum, Bid 13-005” and be received by 10:00 am, on Tuesday, August 13, 2013.
