The CATS Spay/Neuter Program hosted a spay/neuter clinic for cats only on May 11th for Akwesasne and Fort Covington communities. The response was amazing and all the spots were booked quickly.

The SpayNeuterNow mobile clinic was set up at the Akwesasne Boys & Girls Club for the day. The cats were spayed or neutered, had their vaccinations and received a flea treatment and ear check/cleaning. Jennifer Herne, LVT and CATS Spay/Neuter Program Coordinator, assisted Doctors Joan Puritz and Mary Arquette during the surgeries.

A big THANK YOU goes to the Akwesasne Boys & Girls Club who did not hesitate to open their doors for the event, and to our die-hard volunteer, Barbara Taylor, who assisted Kevin Mace, LVT from SpayNeuterNow, and Kaly White, CATS Spay/Neuter Program Coordinator in making sure everything went smoothly.

You will find more information about SpayNeuterNow at http://www.spayneuternow.org

All this was made possible thanks to the community donations. Niawenko:a!
