Salmon River Central School District Will Hold Voting On March 19

Fort Covington - Residents of Salmon River Central School District will have the opportunity to vote on a referendum for the Capital Improvement Project that includes infrastructure improvements to promote energy efficiency throughout the campus; updates and repairs to the bus garage, roofs, and parking lots; and a new community fitness center, on Tuesday, March 19, from Noon to 8:00 PM in the high school auditorium. Voters will also be asked to elect one person to the board of the education for a term that extends through June 2014. Christopher Nye, Sheila Marshall, and Jacque Leduc are running for the board seat. To be eligible to vote, a person must be a citizen of the United States, at least eighteen years old, a resident of the school district at least 30 days, and must not be prohibited from voting under the provisions of section 5-106 of the Election Law, for example, as a result of having been convicted of a felony or adjudged mentally incompetent.
