Hogansburg - Recently the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort awarded two individuals Associates of the Year for 2012.  Karli Tarbell was awarded Associate of the Year while Stanley “Hodge” Jacobs was awarded Supervisor/Manager of the Year.  Both individuals were honored at a dinner reception held last week in the Maple Room at the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort.   They were joined by fourteen co-workers who were winners of the Associate of the Month and Manager of the Quarter programs vying for the Associate of the Year title for 2012.

Craig Fuller, Director of Human Resources noted that Karli and Hodge are very dedicated, hard working and knowledgeable associates; they play important roles in the day to day operations at the casino. General Manager Pat Bassney talked about the changes that the casino is going through with the opening of the new hotel and the addition of the Bingo Palace, and that none of this would have been possible without the help of those in the room tonight.   The sixteen associates in the Maple Room were deemed “the All-Star team” and Karli and Hodge the captains.

Special guest Sub Chief Shelley Jacobs, who previously worked at the casino, spoke about the growth of the property since the doors opened in 1999.  She also spoke on how each employee does their own part to make the casino a success, not only for the property, but also for the North Country and the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe and its subsidiaries.

Karli and Hodge were awarded colorful plaques as well as $1000 as an award for their contribution over the past year.  Both were very surprised as their name was read, and were grateful for the award.
