Annual Salary: Pay Band 6 $38,210.49 - $47,042.93

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Community Service Monitor will monitor and supervise Community Service Orders referred from Akwesasne Community Justice Program, Akwesasne Mohawk Court, Ontario & Quebec Provincial Court. Provides administrative assistance to the Community Justice Program Personnel; assists the Program Manager in scheduling Diversion hearings. Performs other administrative duties as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Incumbent must have a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent and/or Post-Secondary Certificate or Diploma; with one year experience in a related field.

Knowledge of goals and objectives of the Akwesasne Community Justice Program and the Native Court Worker Program; Knowledge of Court Terminology; Knowledge of Computers and Microsoft Programs; Knowledge of MCA Organization and Community of Akwesasne. The incumbent must be able to communicate effectively and work flexible hours, evenings and weekends. Must possess a valid drivers’ license and be willing to use personal vehicle during course of employment.
