Akwesasne Mohawk Police CRIMINAL RECORD CHECKS FOR EMPLOYMENT
Effective immediately, the Akwesasne Mohawk Police Service will no longer accept “lists of names” of persons who are required to have a Criminal Record Check conducted.
Nor will we invoice a Department or Agency for Criminal Records Checks conducted.
If a person(s) from your Department or Agency is required to have a Criminal Record Check conducted and the cost is covered by you, we will require payment be made at the time of request.
Please remember that in order to have a Criminal Record Check conducted, the following is required:
-A “signed” letter from the requesting Department or Agency stating a Criminal Record Check is required.
-$20.00 Cash/Money Order/Bank Draft.
-2 forms of photo identification.
Criminal Records Checks will only be conducted on Wednesday’s from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Results may take several days, so please plan accordingly.
Requests/paperwork can be submitted any day during normal business hours (8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.).
