Indian Time - A Voice from the Eastern Door

Congratulations to KC Herne and the Maplesott Hawks AAA girl’s hockey team on their championship at the Quebec Women Prospect Tournament this past weekend in Montreal. KC earned player of the game in game one with four assists. The Hawks were seeded third after four round robin games. On Sunday, the team beat Team Pacific Minors, Montreal Junior Lions and Team Pacific Majors to capture the championship. The Hawks travel to Quebec City for their next tournament.

KC also played for the Gloucester Cumberland Stars Peewee A hockey team during the regular season. The Stars finished in first place in the A/AA Ottawa District League. KC was the team leader in goals and points for the Stars.
