Environmental Health Technician

Description of Position: The Environment Division is seeking an Environmental Health Technician (EHT) for a 40-hr per week position to carry forward public outreach and education opportunities. Under the Water Resources Program and the St. Lawrence Area of Concern Program, the EHT shall facilitate the design, coordination, and evaluation of public outreach materials, including fish and game advisories. The EHT will implement the research objectives of a fish advisory project including conducting interviews, leading focus groups and implementing an advisory evaluation protocol.

Qualifications: B.A. / B.S. in Environmental Science or Social Science, ability to lead groups. Work with minimal supervision. Experience with risk communication or risk analysis a plus Strong public speaking skills. Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with at least one (1) year driving experience.
