Healthy Homes Logo Contest

 

#1 Winning Logo

The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne Healthy Homes Initiative recently held a logo contest for the project. The logo contest was open to students under the Akwesasne Mohawk Board of Education. The Healthy Homes Initiative received a total of 153 entries and the Healthy Homes project team viewed all the logos submitted and had the difficult task of selecting a winner. The prize for first place is an Apple iPad 2 16GB, the prize for second place is a Toshiba laptop computer. The judges also selected an honorable mention logo that will receive a gift card. There are also gift cards that are being awarded to three students after being selected in a random draw among all the entries.

The winners of the logo contest are as follows:

1st Place – Winner of 16GB Apple iPad 2:

Darcy Jackson, Darin cook-Gringon, Shayna Jacobs and Ben Benedict.

Shayna Jacobs – age 10 – AMS Grade 5

2nd Place – Winner of Toshiba laptop computer:

Daylon Skidders – age 12 – Kanatakon School Grade 7

Honorable Mention – Winner of $25 iTunes card:

Aidan Francis – age 13 – Kanatakon School Grade 8

Winners of random draw:

Carlie Lafrance – Kanatakon school - $25 iTunes Card

Sidney Leaf – Tsi Snaihne School - $25 Walmart Card

Darrin Cook-Grignon – AMS - $25 Walmart Card

The Healthy Homes Initiative would like to thank the MCA Community Support Program for donating all the prizes for the logo contest. We would also like to thank the Akwesasne Mohawk Board of Education for hosting the contest in the three district schools.
