Graduation from the St. Regis Mohawk School

Kanietahare and Sub-Chief Stacy Skidders

The St. Regis Mohawk School Graduation was on June 17, 2011. It was a beautiful breezy day when no other could have been more perfect for these young people as they were leaving their childhood school.  So many of them wore the traditional outfits, some made by moms, aunties and totas.  Twelve special ones were made by the students themselves after school. Two boys wore Kastowas that their hands made.  So proudly they stood, some with tears as they gave hugs to some teachers and parents. Refreshments were served inside the Multi Purpose area as many pictures were taken.
