Graduating Grade Six in style at St. Regis Mohawk School

These are some of the grade six students who began sewing after school to complete their ribbon shirts and dresses for graduation.   They began working on their clothing in January, staying after school once a week with helpers Leanne King and Mrs. King.  This was an enjoyable time together and it was obvious that each student enjoyed the projects, especially when Leanne brought in snacks.

There was an offer to help the children create their own outfits as long as they provided their own material.

We were all so proud when the students completed their outfits and tried them on.  The pictures that were taken will be a lasting memory of all the students involved.  Niawen to each of the students who participated, and to Leanne who came in when she had the time. Pictured here are 7 of the 12 students who participated.
