Beloved wife of the late Douglas Sr. Thompson (July 8. 2009). Dear mother of Janice Heme (Harvey) of St. Andrew’s West, Marlene Thompson of Snye, Darlene Benedict (Roy) of Cornwall Island, Renee Thompson (Terry Bigtree) of Cornwall, Peggy Lazore (Abraham) of Cornwall Island and Bonnie Goulet (Jeffrey) of Cornwall. Predeceased by one son, Douglas “Bucky’ Jr. Thompson (May 13, 1990). Loving grandmother of 16 grandchildren and of 14 great­grandchildren. Dear chosen mother of Diane Delormierand Kevin Merpaw. Survived by a lifetime special friend, Harriett Lazore. Beloved daughter of the late Peter Barnes and the late Grace (Beaubien) Barnes. Dear sister of Wilbert Bames (Greda) of Hogansburg. Predeceased by one sister, Mary Cook and by four brothers, Jackie, Joseph, Tony and William Barnes. Ma loved to play CKON Bingo and enjoyed going to the Bingo Palace. She loved spending time with her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a very devoted Catholic and was respected and loved by many young adults who knew her as “MA”.Resting at her residence 35 Wishe Delormier Road, Akwesasne from 7 p.rn Thursday. Funeral Saturday, September 26,2009 for Mass of Christian Burial in St. Regis Church at 11 a.m. Intennent Parish Cemetery.
