GREEN PEPPER STEAK

1 lb. lean round steak

1 medium onion, sliced

1 medium green pepper, cut in rings

1 (14 1/2 oz.) can peeled tomatoes and juice

2 stalks celery, cut diagonally in 1” pieces

1 lg. clove garlic, crushed

1 tsp. each; salt, crushed oregano

1/8 tsp. pepper

1/2 c. boiling water

1/4 c. each; flour, cold water

1 beef bouillon cube

Cut steak into serving size pieces small enough to fit slow cooker. Put steak, onion, green pepper, tomatoes and juice, celery, garlic, salt, oregano, and pepper in slow cooker. Dissolve bouillon in boiling water; add to cooker, mixing well. Cover and cook about (medium) six hours. Combine flour and cold water. Turn temperature to high. Gradually stir flour mixture into meat. Cook 10-15 minutes, until thickened.
