One of the on-going goals at the Ahkwesahsne Mohawk School (AMS) is to be “Kind and Caring.” The students and staff have worked very hard to create this positive school community.

To launch the third year of the “Caught You Caring” recognition and incentive program, everyone at the school was given a secret friend for the week of October 14th to October 17th. The students and staff were encouraged to do kind and caring acts for their friend, “In Secret”, and to keep them guessing by doing kind and caring acts; for others as well. The students and staff were asked not to buy gifts for their secret friend, but to make homemade cards and crafts to make it more personal. On Friday, October 17th, the school community ended the week by trying to guess who their secret friend was.
The AMS students and staff are Kind and Caring, which made the event a great success.
