HAVFD raises money through boot drive

A future HAVFD member helps out, collecting money at the crossroads.
The Hogansburg - Akwesasne Fire Department had their annual boot drive this weekend at the crossroads on Cornwall Island.
The fundraising event was held to help the HAVFD replace their outdated fan boat used for ice rescues and searches.
The boot drive was held this past Monday, Canadian Thanksgiving, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Scotia Bank from Cornwall was a generous partner as they donated a matching donation of $5,000 to the first $5,000 received during the boot drive.
