  • Basic Call to Consciousness

    Jun 15, 2023

Continued from last week. In a way, the Peacemaker was centuries ahead of his time. He set forth a system of government organization which was a marvelously complex enactment of the concept of participatory (as opposed to representative) democracy. Under the rules of the law, councils of women appointed men who were to act more as conduits of the will of the people than as independent representatives of the people. The society was founded on concepts of moral justice and not of statute law and the rules of the society were designed to insure...

  • Oaks Will Be Oakay

    Jun 15, 2023

If you’ve wondered what awful new malady has struck our oak trees this spring, resulting in shriveled, deformed and dead leaves, the answer is chilling. Literally; as in cold. A hard freeze on the night of May 17-18 happened at just the right – or wrong – time, catching oak foliage at a critically tender stage. Since trees can’t change their locations (to my knowledge, at least), I guess you could say that oaks were in the right place at the wrong time. Periods of unusually warm temperatures between April 12-22, and again from May 6-13, e...

  • Debt Ceiling Deal – a Slap in the Face to Environmental Justice Communities

    Jun 15, 2023

House Republicans and the White House cut a deal that raised the debt ceiling and averted an economic crisis. The deal cuts spending for programs critical to environmental protections and our social safety net. In addition, the deal includes hastily negotiated changes to the National Environmental Policy Act. Historically, bills to raise or suspend the debt ceiling have been clean, reflecting the common interest we have in protecting our economy, but this deal comes riddled with policy provisions that continue to sacrifice our communities....

  • Entertainment Binge

    Jun 15, 2023

By Isaac White. I think we’ve discussed the odd nature of my job. Well, I’ve talked about it. You’ve read my lamentations and also the joyous expressions of eagerness I have toward my work. Yes, you’re right. My editor reads everything I write, but I’m not attempting to paint myself in a better light to please my boss. I mean, yes, I’m doing that as well, but it’s not an intentional pandering thing. I promise. I dove into this subject matter because I think it’s important for people to recognize the importance of truly enjoying your work. I ma...

  • Whistleblower Claims U.S. Government Has Alien Craft In Its Possession

    Jun 15, 2023

By Isaac White. According to David Charles Grusch, a 36-year-old veteran who has worked at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), the United States has not only retrieved and examined unidentified flying objects (UFOs) with non-human origins but has also managed to recover bodies of extraterrestrial beings from sites where these UFOs have crashed. Although challenging to believe, Grusch’s assertions about a government cover-up involving UFOs and aliens have garnered sufficient a...
