Nominations for students achieving “Bobcat of the Week” are by Coaches all submitting their nominations for the week.   • Thompson Wins DSC Player of the Week Award

    Mat Thompson of Akwesasne was recently named Offensive Player of the Week for teams in the south. Thompson is a junior at Florida Southern College where he plays for the Florida Moccasins, or Mocs. The Moccasins played just one game last week, but Mat Thompson’s performance was enough to earn him Offensive Player of the Week for the Deep South Conference.     The Herkimer Generals Softball team did something they haven’t been able to do in years this afternoon. Beat Region III perennial power Broome CC. And they did in dominating fashion evoking the mercy rule the first game by a score of 8-0 and taking the nightcap by a score of 5-1.
