    The Mohawk Council of Akwesasne would like to inform the community that on Saturday, March 5, 2016, the A’nowara’ko:wa Arena will be hosting an exciting hockey game between the NHL Native Alumni team and the Akwesasne Stars. Tickets are available now at the A’nowara’ko:wa Arena on Kawehno:ke in the Arena Lobby during weekdays from 9-5; as well as the Akwesasne Welcome Center at the Peace Tree Trade Centre weekdays from 9-4.     The Salmon River boys and girls varsity basketball teams honored their seniors last week during the last home game of the regular season. The Shamrock boys hosted Ogdensburg on Tuesday, February 2nd, but fell to the Blue Devils, 31-63. The Blue Devils ran out to an early 25-5 lead by the end of the first quarter and were ahead 39-15 by half time before closing out the game with a 63-31win.     Photos by Joe Francis The Atom Rep B Wolves took on the Charlan Rebels on Saturday, February 6th at home at 10am. The score was 6-0 against the first place team Charlan Rebels. The Wolves held Rebels off with no score until just over half way through second period with 9 skaters. This little wolf pack has grown and come together nicely over the season and they represent Akwesasne well. Their season record is 16 wins, 28 losses and 2 ties.
