ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF TEHOTIIENNAWA:KON (ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT)

PERMANENT FULL-TIME POSITION

 


Pay Level: EX 11 $74,612.97 – $77,597.49

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of the Director of Tehotiiennawa:kon, the incumbent is responsible for the operation, promotion and day-to-day management of the Economic Development program, creating an environment in which business development can prosper.

The incumbent will assist in the overall daily operation the Department of Tehotiiennawa:kon and will guide, direct and monitor a comprehensive community and culturally based department that is specific to the management and administration of three (3) independent programs; Environment, Economic Development and Arena.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Commerce or Public Administration or Economics with a minimum of two (2) years experience in related setting with a strong background and knowledge in management; OR Post Secondary Degree in Business Administration or Economics with five (5) years experience in related setting with a strong background and knowledge in management. Certification as an Economic Development Officer is an asset.


Experience and knowledgeable in liaising with outside agencies; Networks, develops and maintains a solid working relationship with external governments and funding agents: banks, local agencies, provincial and federal governments, and business development programs. Speaking and understanding the Mohawk language is an asset.
