If you were listening to CKON Thursday morning then you heard Reen Cook, live on air, get surprised by the Akwesasne Coalition for Community Empowerment. They presented her with a card and gifts thanking her for all the great things she does for the community. Reen, at first shocked and surprised by the group who stormed the radio booth, was then brought to tears by the gesture. Below is the contents of the card:

Dear Reen,

On behalf of the Akwesasne Coalition for Community Empowerment, we wanted to express our sincere gratitude for the excellent job you do in promoting our events as well as those of the community. Your commitment and dedication to our community is admirable.

You continuously inspire us with your willingness to help others whether it be giving information or making us laugh. We are grateful for all that you do and are honored that you are a part of our community.
