ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OFFICER

PERMANENT FULL-TIME POSITION COMMUNITY HEALTH PROGRAM

 


Salary Level: SP03 $74,299.63-$75,348.45

POSITION SUMMARY:

Delivery of environmental health and occupational health & safety programs to communities within the jurisdiction of Mohawk Council of Akwesasne to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation to promote and maintain the highest possible state of health and well-being within the community of Akwesasne.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Successful completion of a course of full-time instruction in Public Health inspection or Environmental Health at a Canadian University or equivalent as recognized by the Board of Certification Institute of Public Health Inspectors.

• Occupational Certification: Certificate in Public Health Inspection (Canada) and a member in good standing with the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors.

• Minimum 2 years experience.

• Maintaining Certificate in Public Health Inspection (Canada) in good standing.


• Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to use personal vehicle during course of employment.

• A clear Criminal Records Check.

• Pre-employment medical/personal health declaration may be required.
