Administrative Assistant

 


Start Date: Once Position is Filled

Salary: $13.00/hr.

Job Overview

Oversees the general administrative duties required of an Admin Assistant. Receives incoming calls, take messages, and updates several multimedia platforms to communicate to the Chamber membership. Updates membership lists, types minutes of meetings, and additional duties as required.

Direct Duties

-Update accounting books

-Assist the Business/Assistant Business Leaders by providing them with needed information for presentations, meetings, or events

-Ensures all ACOC collateral is consistent and accurate prior to distributing or sharing with other organizations

-Handles ACOC correspondence (phone calls, emails)

-Main contact if anyone is interested in becoming a member or has any questions

-Communicates/shares upcoming events with Surrounding Chambers

-Keep North Country Chamber of Commerce updated with all current/new members so their database is updated with our members


-Keeps accurate membership lists with names, addresses and phone numbers (including summer addresses) with the assistance of the Treasurer who accepts all new member payments

-Maintains thorough organizational files and records

-Keeps office organized and stocked with supplies

-Update/manage all social media (Facebook and ACOC Website) Answer any questions, keep page active, share/promote business/community events

-Assist ACOC Board with coordinating all chamber events; provide necessary collateral (banners, flyers, etc.)

-If a meeting or event requires catering, coordinate the order and get approval from the Business and Assistant Business Leader, submit to Treasurer for payment

Qualifications

Completion of Business Administrative certification/diploma, with a potential to use this as an experience building position. Must to be outgoing, friendly, courteous, and require minimal supervision. Mature, reliable, and have own transportation. Be willing to work independently, and with a team.
