Salary Level: SP 07 $46,471.73 - $48,330.60

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Tehotiienawa:kon Assistant Director, the incumbent is responsible for planning needs of the Department, with an emphasis on serving as the lead technician for the development of a Comprehensive Community Development Plan.

Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Public Policy or related field is required with a minimum of one year of planning experience; Certification as an Economic Development Officer is an asset.

Incumbent must have excellent written and oral communication skills, including public speaking and the ability to make effective presentations and maintain good public relations; General knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of comprehensive plans, economic development, and business management; Requires working knowledge of personal computer software and hardware, including Microsoft Office program; Excellent networking, research and planning skills; Works well under pressure; Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills; Ability to meet tight deadlines and to handle confidential information with discretion; Effective delegation skills;
