Salary: $29,640.00 – 66,976.00  13-1071 Status:  Full-time, Non-Exempt

Description of Position:  Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, the Benefits Specialist is responsible for the benefit activities for approximately 630 tribal employees. The Human Resource Benefits Specialist assumes responsibility for developing, monitoring and ensuring that all benefit programs are operating within guidelines of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe policies and procedures, internal control standards and objectives.

Qualifications: Associates degree (A. A.) from two-year College or University in Human Resources, Public Administration, Employment Law, Accounting or related field and three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Strong oral and written communication skills required. Must have excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and experience with various databases.

FLEET POLICY: Must be at least 21 years of age, have and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driver abstract.

ELIGIBILITY LIST: A list of qualified candidates is created from interviews that may be used to appoint individuals to similar positions within the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe for a period of six months.
