Senior Center Recognizes Staff for Help in Flood Aftermath

Staff enjoyed an appreciation lunch at the Senior Center that recognized their assistance after the flood.

The Senior Center held an appreciation lunch on Monday for everyone who helped after the flood that happened on June 15. Director Kallen Martin explained that it was a big effort. At least 2 inches of water sat on the floor. The laminate flooring began to bubble up after it finally dried, and it was clear that the floor had to be replaced. The maintenance and custodial staff of the Tribe had to move everything, box up countless files, and move desks and computers. Martin recognized about 30 people who made this tough time bearable. They were given certificates and a delicious lunch of spaghetti and meatballs, bread, salad and cake. Martin said, “We couldn’t have done any of it without your assistance.”

Those recognized were:

Carole Ross, Alice Herne, Paulette White, Gary General, Bobby Robideau, Brian Herne, Craig Jock, Bill Arquette, Jim McDonald, Fred Nicholas, Justin Durant, Donnie Comins, Roger Thompson, Gordon McDonald, Chance Tarbell, Jake Arquette, Allen Bero, Jody Ward, Mike McFaddin, Richard Cook, Sam Benedict and Jody Ward.
