SRMS Celebrates Last Student Achievement Assembly of the School Year

What Principal Thomas called the twenty-five special guests, the students who were recently inducted into the National Elementary Honor Society.

It was the last Student Achievement Assembly of the school year at the St. Regis Mohawk School on Wednesday morning, June 12th. Principal Thomas directed a contest between the students and staff; whoever was most excited for summer – scream the loudest, and it was pretty darn close with students surely out-numbering staff. I’d say the staff was pretty darn excited! The assembly started by recognizing students who won the ipad minis for selling raffle tickets. Ticket sales are important for the Mohawk School because they fund all the great events they have, like the Fall Fest and Student Appreciation Day. Raffle winners from a previous draw included: $1000 Stevie Bush, $500 Brenda Armstrong and $250 Evan Cree. Next, Student Council members were recognized, then students with perfect attendance for the whole year, students who were great helpers and the assembly ended recognizing those 25 that were recently inducted into the National Elementary Honor Society.

Winners of four ipad minis for selling raffle tickets. Ty David sold 190, Jasmine Herne sold 180, Brandon Barnes sold 168 and Ronald Wood-Terrance sold 146.
