We Love Visitors!

James Valentine and Jeanie Valentine, Chippewa, from the Turtle Mountain Indian Reservation, Belcourt, ND and Sandra Sorci from Aberdeen, Maryland came to visit Indian Time this week. Though Sandra lives far away she is no stranger, her mother is Esther Cook and half-sister Lois Terrance was showing these three around. They went to the museum, library and the St. Regis Catholic Church before stopping at Indian Time. They think Indian Time has a very inviting design. Thanks for visiting and come back anytime!

Indian Time is lucky to receive many visitors every week. Whether it’s a parent bringing in a new baby for a photograph or an elder who wants us to look at photos with him, our doors are always open and we love our visitors. We love them so much we want to share them with you. “We Love Visitors” series is simply a way to share members of the community with you. So, don’t be scared to come and visit us (we’ll only photograph those willing) but if you have something special you want to show us, tell us, or share with our readers, stop in anytime.

Our offices are located in the village of St. Regis, on Hilltop Drive, in the same building as CKON 97.3 studios.

We hope to see you soon!

Colette Lemmon, Christina Johannsen and Stephanie Shultes from the Iroquois Indian Museum visited Indian Time this week. They were in Akwesasne working on an exhibit of Native American tattoos called “Indian Ink: Iroquois & The Art of Tattoos.” The Exhibition will open on May 1 and run to November 30 at the Iroquois Indian Museum in Howes Cave, NY. The ladies said they all look for the artist spotlights in Indian Time, to see what the artists are up to. Thanks for visiting ladies, come back anytime!
