Last Friday night the Massena Red Raider basketball squad was on the road and steadily built a 31-19 halftime lead over Gouverneur. The Raiders stepped up their intensity as they outscored the Wildcats 25-11 in the third en route to a 70-44 victory.

Joe Labelle scored the game high with 21 points that included three three-pointers. Teammate Zach Rusaw fired in 10 points while David Phillips and Zevon Viskovich added eight points each. Robert Cameron netted five and Tyler Haas, Xavier Viskovich and Rhoades Tarbell generated four points apiece. Nick Lobdell (3 points), Zach Fregoe (2 points) and Logan Deshane (1 point) rounded out the scoring for the Raiders.

The Wildcats were led by Mark Horne with 13 points including two three-pointers. Devon Cox tossed in ten and Troy Gates added seven.

Massena 53 St. Lawrence 32

Earlier in the week the Massena Red Raiders hosted the St. Lawrence Larries and posted a 53-32 victory. Zack Rusaw and Xavier Viskovich led the way offensively for the Raiders (2-0) with 13 points each. Joe Labelle finished with 11 points while Tyler Haas and Zevon Viskovich each added four. Logan Deshane, David Phillips and Rhoades Tarbell rounded out the scoring with two points apiece.

Zane Ramsdell led the Larries (1-2) with a game high of 14 points while Josh White followed with 10. Cody Meachum generated five, Jesse Greer added two and Tyler Savage chipped in one.
