Patricia Thomas

The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe announced last week that Tribal Clerk Patricia Thomas has resigned, effective immediately, due to health concerns.

Corleen Jacco

Thomas’ letter of resignation was accepted by Tribal Council with great sadness, they said.

“Tribal Council accepts your decision with sincere appreciation for your lasting contributions over the past 7 years.”

Thomas was appointed to the Tribal Clerk position in 2000 and has been re-elected to 2 terms. She was responsible for the modernization of enrollment application procedures, enhanced security of Tribal records, and initiated land parcel management practices through a Geographic Information Systems Technician.

Corleen Jacco, Deputy Clerk, has been appointed to serve as Interim Tribal Clerk until the June 2009 elections.

Tribal Council and Staff wish Pat good luck in overcoming her health concerns.
