NYS DOE orders upstate school to remove Indian mascot

The CCSD school board voted to remove the culturally insensitive 'Indian mascot' image and logo in June 21. About a month later, a new board was voted in and rescinded that order. NYS DOE stepped in early September to have the school board permanently remove the logo.
