Indian Time - A Voice from the Eastern Door

The family of Winnifred “Winnie” Mitchell wish to extend a big Niawenkowa to our friends and relatives. We thank them for their support and comfort, which eased our grief at the passing of our mother. We would especially like to thank the HAVFD for honoring her as an auxiliary member, the Akwesasne Homemakers for providing the family with a meal, the Kateri Circle for requesting the Mass in her memory, Donaldson’s Funeral Home for the care and attention to detail, and the Snye Recreation Committee for the wonderful funeral meal. 

Also, friends and neighbors who brought food, sent flowers or expressed words of comfort or shared a hug, we deeply appreciate each gesture.

Mom is now reunited with our Dad, Reginald and they are fondly turning over the closed sign at “Reginald’s” for the final time and now will stroll over heaven together forever. Rest in Love Mom.
