Maintenance Worker



Department: Maintenance

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, 40 Hours weekly

Salary: $13.20 per hour

Summary: The Maintenance Worker works in the Maintenance Department of the Mohawk Indian Housing Corporation and conducts repairs and replacement of items throughout the properties owned and managed by Mohawk Indian Housing Corporation and Hogansburg Housing Development Fund Co., Inc. The Maintenance Worker reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

Have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Vehicle to use for work purposes.

Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

High School diploma or equivalent, Trade School training a plus

Position requires a background check to be used solely for employment related purposes.

2-5 years’ experience or training in basics of building repairs and maintenance including use of carpentry tools and equipment.

Frequently lift and/or move food products weighing up to 50 pounds.

Possess strong communication skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize and present a positive, caring and respectful attitude.
