Indian Time - A Voice from the Eastern Door

AKWESASNE – Michael Louie "Wishe" Adams, 46, a resident of Second Street, St. Regis, peacefully passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 14, 2021 at Ottawa General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Wishe was born on March 27, 1975 in Cornwall, the son of Marion Adams and Peter B. Lazore. While in high school at CCVS, he worked at G&L, where he did an apprenticeship and also learned to do institutional cooking while in school. He loved cooking, barbequing, smoking meats, and riding his ATV.

Wishe is survived by his mother, Marion Adams; his father and step-mother, Peter B. and Kim (Brockett) Lazore; his siblings, Tiann White (Jason Hill), Brandon Lazore (Nicole Benedict), Nakkita Lazore (Matt Buckshot), Amber Lazore (Jon Mike Lazore), Devin Lazore (Ashton Lazore); his aunt, Diane Warner (Emmanuel); great aunts, Mary Oakes Burnham, Kathleen Jacobs, and Phyllis Jacobs; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Michael "Snook" and Harriett (Jacobs) Adams and Hubert and Mary Mae (Jacko) Lazore; and several aunts and uncles.

Friends may call Thursday, April 22, 2021, 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena. Funeral services will be held privately with Rev. Jerome Pastores, officiating. Burial will be in Kateri Cemetery.
