Administrative Specialist for Indian Time Newspaper

 


Responsible to: Editor and Manager

Part time

Job Duties:

• Check email daily.

• Collect and prepare all materials, text and photos for publication.

• Identify when and how many issues material needs to be published.

• Prepare and record files for all typeset material for follow through to production.

• Take direction from Editor.

• Complete information for invoicing.

• Maintain an orderly work area and be responsible for filing of typeset material for archives.

• Must be able to work evenings if required.

Qualifications:

• Accurate keyboarding skills required. Knowledge of Microsoft Word

• Knowledge of Adobe InDesign (preferred but not neccessary),

• Willingness to train in skill development.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively with little to no supervision.

• Excellent knowledge of the community of Akwesasne.
