Indian Time - A Voice from the Eastern Door

MCA’s Department of Health (DOH) would like to notify the community that the Iakhihsohtha Lodge has been officially removed from Outbreak Status. DOH was notified by the Eastern Ontario Health Unit after Iakhihsohtha Lodge staff and residents completed two weeks of negative COVID-19 test results.

In order to be removed from Outbreak Status, all Iakhihsohtha Lodge staff, residents, and administration who work or reside in the facility had to test negative for COVID-19 for two consecutive weeks.

On behalf of the Iakhihsohtha Lodge, the DOH would like to extend its sincerest gratitude to our LTC residents, resident’s families, and the community for their continued support, thoughts, prayers, and understanding during a very tumultuous time. We’d also like to thank the staff at Iakhihsohtha for their dedication and diligence during this time.
