Christmas Enchantment – 2020 Style

Even though Covid-19 pandemic has caused many cancelations, one of them was not going to be Christmas Enchantment. This year the Tsi Snaihne Recreation team rose to the occasion and held, yet again, another great fundraiser to help in serving the community. Every year since 2004, the Tsi Snaihne Recreation hosts Christmas Enchantment to raise funds to help with expanding or providing many holiday activities.

In March of 2003, there was a fire at the Tsi Snaihne Recreation Center, and it burned the whole side of the center, insurance was used but the recreation was faced with many other costs that weren't covered. That's when they decided to start Christmas Enchantment and ever since then it has helped the committee upgrade many outdated things and add on the inside the recreation. They have also many improvements to their grounds.

With the challenges of the pandemic, the committee held a virtual Christmas Enchantment, pictures were posted of the trees on their Facebook page, and tickets were available in person at the recreation with strict social distancing protocol and virtually through committee members. There were 27 Christmas trees with anything from puzzles to freezers full of pigs, not actually in there. As the live video started there was a fluctuation of people joining the live from 300 to 450 people watching, many comments of tagging someone who won but mostly congratulations to people who won a tree.


Even though the recreation has been closed to the public since the beginning of the pandemic they were still able to make some changes with the funds raised from last year's Christmas Enchantment.
