FULL TIME POSITION AKWESASNE FAMILY WELLNESS PROGRAM DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND SOCIAL SERVICES

 


PAY LEVEL: HS06 ST2 $44,927.57

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of the Outreach Services Coordinator, the incumbent is responsible to provide women, children and men with education and counselling opportunities to address issues of domestic violence in a safe and therapeutic environment. The Family Well-Being Counselor will facilitate, plan, organize and conduct the Family Well-Being activities such as; primary prevention, therapeutic interventions, support groups, enhance existing programs of identity, culture and healthy life, provide service and support to clients and families that are not able to access services. The incumbent will be required to work extended hours, weekends and on-call as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• University Degree in the Social Field;

OR

• Two (2) year Social Service Worker or equivalent diploma, experience in the social work field and experience working in a 24-hour crisis center.

• Education/experience in mental health and addictions

• Pass a mandatory criminal reference check.
