DONALD "BILL" CAMPBELL

 

Donald "Bill" Campbell, 76 of Westville, passed away September 23 at his home surrounded by family. Services are private and at the convenience of the family. Care and arrangements are under the direction of Frary-Spaulding Funeral Home.

Donald was born May 17, 1944 to the late Hobert Campbell and Maude May Russell in Moira, NY. Mr. Campbell was a Vietnam Veteran and was a hero to his children. After the military Donald worked at Tru-Stitch-Wolverine in Malone. On October 21, 1967 Donald married Virginia Plante at Notre Dame Church in Malone. In 1973 they bought and started operating a dairy farm in Westville that they still run.

Donald is survived by his wife Virginia Campbell; daughter Stacey Mae ( John) White of Akwesasne; 2 sons, Glenn (Lia) Campbell of Albany, NY and Richard Campbell of Fort Covington, NY; brother George (Myra) Campbell of Malone, sister Margaret (Lee) Vivlamore of Malone, NY; grandchildren Taylor White of Akwesasne, Mason Lazore of Tsi Snaihne, John, Brydon (Iawenhontsaieshon), Tiawni, Lewis, Annabelle White of Akwesasne, Arianna Schneider, Maxwell Schneider, Isabelle Schroeder, Liam, and Cole Campbell; a great grandchild Ronokwà:tsheres of Kahnawake; life- long friends Wayne and Judy Jock of Fort Covington and Richard and Edith Hammond of Constable, NY; and his beagle Maggie.


Mr. Campbell was predeceased by his parents Hobert and Maude Campbell; daughter Tina Ann Campbell; brothers James and Gordan Campbell; sisters Joyce Kelsey, Jane Koon, Janet Wood, and Geraldine Deserous.

Contributions can be made in his memory to Westville or Fort Covington Fire and Rescue Department.
