CLARKSON'S SHIPLEY CENTER TO CO-HOST FREE ONLINE ENTREPRENEUR WORKSHOPS

 


The North Country Innovation Hotspot Program at Clarkson’s Shipley Center and Point Positive, an angel investor group founded in Saranac Lake, are joining forces to offer a series of free online workshops for entrepreneurs starting August 12.

The weekly one-hour sessions, from noon to 1 p.m., will give participants information on specific topics and teach skills needed to brand, market, and launch a business. They will focus on social media marketing, websites, and online branding. The sessions will be presented by Nicole Ouellette, founder of Break Even Communications.

The North Country Innovation Hot Spot Program, hosted by Clarkson University, is a New York State-supported program charged with supporting and coordinating the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem. Working with regional economic development partners and Clarkson University research centers, this program has consulted on over 400 projects and facilitated the creation of more than 160 new startup companies across the North Country region. Support is provided in the areas of technology validation, prototyping, market research, investor relations and much more.
